Default GT11 camshaft with boost

The GT11 215/231 .631-.644 on a 118 camshaft. anyone running with boost, turbo/blower?

I am running the TR 214/230 .601-.575 116 blower cam, in my built forged LS6

Idles perfect and made a ton of power,776/696 uncorected and 740/665 SAE corected at the wheels @ 15 PSI on pump/M5 methanol

My LS6 is a 347 i was thinking on a slightly bigger cam for my LS2 (364)ci project comming up

anyone have any info on the GT11 cam , idel, overlap, powerband , and can a patriot or texas speed .650 duel spring kit work with this amount of lift or would i need the stronger .700 lift duel spring kit

thank you for your help

I'm doing a turbo build now with a 243/247 .624/.624 on a 116. Comp LSL lobes. Ported 243 heads, -16cc dished pistons. Single Turbonetics T78. Motor is just about finished. The guy builder my motor knows one of the Comp engineers and this is what they came up with. I was fixing to put a 228 or 230 cam in it with about .590-.600 lift. We will see how it works. If you do you own work and tuning, I say try it. If you have to pay for the experiment, maybe not do it.

Aps dynoed a combo with the gt11 cam. It is nice but is very high lift and boost is hard on springs so for sure would need springs to handle it and likely still have to swap them out pretty often.
I was going to run this cam but then went to milder gt7 in my build but with 1.8 rockers to take me to 590 or so lift.

How did that work out? Sounds like a good combo.

Well seems pretty good. No lope with gt7, no cam surge either. Hate cam surge big time especially since do lots of city driving in heavy traffic. Very easy to tune. As for power dyno numbers hope to get some this coming season and some track times. Car is away for winter now and comes out around april 1. Was going to dyno with the t56 but now have completed the 4l80 swap and also want to dyno with upgraded turbos that plan on getting over winter.Mostly curious to see how this cam setup can pull to around 6500 with maybe 7000 happening very occasionally. Course also need to have turbos that can still work up at those rpms. Two bad they dont' offer the gt7 with around .600 lift. That would be pretty much ideal I think.

Yeah I'm worried about sizing my single front mount turbo correctly for my cam and not having it choke off before 7000 and make 750-800rwhp though my TH400.

to much duration for me , i believe in smaller cams with no overlap

would that GT11 lift hurt valve springs that are made for .700 lift

I would think 700 lift springs would be fine..650 lift springs might be fine but would just require checking more often.

I think that the short duration with that high of a lift would make for a very steep lobe that would be VERY hard on the valve train.
