Default LS2 vs LS6 intake for boosted application?

Which would be the better of the two? I am in the process of selling my Fast 90/90 to a friend and i want to pick up a "one piece" intake to use with my build. I know the LS2 can accommodate a 90mm tb, but i am unsure as to which intake is "better".

Whichever you can get cheaper lol, I believe the flow #s are comparative if not the ls6 flowing a little better.

my understanding is LS6 > LS2, LS6 < Ported LS2

I'm pretty sure that the LS2 is not a one piece intake and can seperate internally and bleed cyl to cyl under boost.

A lot of guys are making 800+rwhp with an LS2 and no issues. The same goes for the LS6 but the larger throttle body of the LS2 is an advantage.LS2 are also cheap with the larger throttle body.

Really? i was under the impression that factory GM intakes were one piece.

Lol okay for arguments sake I will say the LS2 is better. The larger mouth and the ability to do like what was mentioned with the larger throttle body would be great. Then again a vic (super or jr) would be better for equaling out how much air is going into each cyclinder but between LS6 and the LS2 my vote is for the LS2. hey you should start a poll between the two then again I think that it has be done already.

Take a look at the before and after results when we replaced the LS2 intake on the above car with a FAST 92mm. I'd have to say the LS6 intake is better than the LS2. Bob

I have a tpis modified Ls6 intake that has a bigger t/b and neck opening....8x+ mm
It has been my favorite intake between ls6,2, and Fast 90

Either will work fine.

Larger throttle body is of no benefit, as the TB will certainly not be the limiting factor in terms of airflow, for nearly all engines.

Perhaps if making well in excess of 1khp a larger TB may be of benefit.

That's what I was thinking, NA flow characteristics make a larger difference, but with FI they are negligable.

Check out TPIS , sight.
They tested all the intakes, the LS6 flowes the best , a little better than the LS2, and with there mod, cutting the LS6 75mm neck and epoxing a 90mm neck for a 90mm Tbody
they modded LS6 intake flowes very well,
But IMOP with the the boost i wouldnt cut/glue any intake.

if you have a 75 mm stock throttle body get a LS6, if you want 90mm stuff get a LS2, in the end it will be so close

I am running a LS6 , when i measured my LS6 intake mouth i came up with 75.5-76 mm and my stock Throttle body was only about 74mm, so i bought the accufab LS1 polished 76mm T-body , nice combo matches up pefect, & looks and works great.

In the end with a D1-sc pushing through 4.5" twins @ 15 psi ,LS6 block TR 215/230 blower cam AS speed 1X blower heads, custome twin (7GPH nozzles) Progressive Methanol injection system and custome PCV system (By Me) 776/697 uncorected and 741/669 SAE corected. on a SD tune , IAT temps stood at 66degs to 6,500 at only 17degs timming,
through FLP 1.75 long tubes and single SLP SS 3" duel duel exhaust

I have a ls2 making over 850 on a mustang dyno. The diff is I am thinking is the ls6 will give you more at lower rpm and the ls2 will be more on the top end. I am at 16psi d/spray of meth. with no problems. Mine is ported by BLOWNBLUEZO6 on here great guy. was 300.00
