Default gas pedal sticks when I accelerate....any suggestions to what it might be???

Ok so i've noticed this more often then not lately....when im at a complete stop and I go to accelerate my gas pedal sticks a little, I have to give it a little extra force for it to go. Could it be because it sat in storage for 3 years? it only has 17k miles on it....i hope its an easy fix!

sounds like the throttle plate blade is closing too far and getting stuck in the bore. You might have to adjust the throttle stop if this is the case.

My Olds 88 was doing this. I removed the TB, cleaned and lubed the throttle shaft. It's o.k. now.

In your case, even though your mileage is very low, you may have some corrosion in your TB. Could easily be cleaned up.

Most important: Whatever the problem is, get it fixed immediately. Could be a serious safety issue.

i had this same problem. Turned out to be the floor mats. i removed them and never have any problems now. But I would check the TB to see whats hanging. can be a very exciting ride when your throttle sticks. JK BTW!!
