needing to take the y-pipe off the kooks headers so i can drop the motor, but it is seized good. i even put the torch on it, and got a few millimeters more, but its stuck. anyone have any ideas?

try some fluid film and see if that helps... just keep wiggling it and play with it until it comes off... good luck

I don't have kooks I have arh so can't tell you without looking at it

Are the bolts just frozen or the pipe stuck together? I would try cutting them or if is the pipes just hit it with a sledge.

pipes are stuck together. i used some PB blaster thursday and its had since the break to work. so liquid wrench nor blue flame wrench are doing any good at this point.

i ended up dropping the borla kit. the I-pipe will just have to come out with the motor.

I wrap the y with a ratchet strap. I put the other end around the rear end. I just ratchet untill it pops apart. Works every time.

Give it a good coat of Fluid Film and just let it sit for a few days.

always good to have atleast 2 around the garage/shop. Sometimes people will just get a cutoff wheel and make a perpendicular cut into the pipe where it slips on. It will usually give you that extra bit of wiggle. Then just replace the old clamp with a band clamp, and if it already has a band clamp you are in good shape still.
