Default Best cam for power

Hi all

I'm currently working on a built 454 engine. But wonder if I should switch my cam for a bigger one. It's a comp 244/244 0.550.

Pistons are dome with -22.00 cc & heads will be AFR 325.
Edlebrock 454-R intake
Holly 4160-hp 750 cfm carb.

Should I get bigger cam? what compression ration will I be getting?

Thanks

if you're running compression around 10:1 then yeah you could get away with more cam. you may need a bigger carb though. and make sure you check your piston to valve clearance because you're starting to get up there in lift.

rule of thumb when choosing a cam, if you're stuck deciding between two cams, take the smaller one. you'll almost always be better off

I will check with solid lifters anyway. I don't want to buy something to sell it.

Thanks
