which 3500 so do have? the SY, SS, ST?
IMO, it IS worth the switch, but with 3.73s it'll be REAL hard to get traction...my fav combo would be 3.23/PT4400

Even if you don't go to the track much this converter will be awesome from a roll, on street tires I would forget a good launch or a decent one for that matter, you will def. need some DR's or ET streets. Your 3.73s will help tighten the converter up very much. I think you should do the swap...Maybe you should try the PT 4200, not much difference but I would think it would be a little more streetable. Good Luck

I fact.. it ran 12.07 at Bristol that day
I will say though.. it's not easy, nor is it alot of fun, unless you are on a track that hooks WELL
I prefer to run it on ET Streets

yeah, first we need to know your intentions. Are you looking to go to the track at all? I would guess NO by looking at at your sig...your appreance mods list is longer than your performance one.
I am currently running a YPT4400 in my car, but I have a lot more bolt-ons and I am all about track performance, but I do drive the car around also and driveablity isnt that bad, but the car was previously tuned with a 4200 stall, so I'm sure that helps. I have gone a 1.508 60' with this converter on DR's so it hits pretty hard, so I would go with at least a BFG Drag Radial when you want to play.

The higher STR make the TP series converter very livible on the street. Is it loose.. of course, but far from "unstreetable"
I currently have a TP-4200 and wish most days that I had went back to a TP-4400 instead.

ok let me clear somthing up... hehe....
my boyfriend is getting this converter....
he has 3.23s, patriot stage II heads, TR230 cam, brand spankin new short block, hooker LTs and a lot of little mods like the FTRA bla bla bla.... he runs on ET STREETS and his faster time without the heads and new engine and with the Super Yank 3500 he got a 12.1......
he is looking for speed and it is his daily driver

Honestly John, how well do ya hook on the street with those nittos and the 4200? I cant hook on ET Streets in mine and I only got a 3800.
Since he has a street/strip car I would agree with the 4400. Badass from a roll.
BTW: John, what did ya do with the 4400? I need a 1.50' 60' to go 11.dohs.

Had a flexplate come apart, took out the tranny, converter and a bunch of other things. If you own a 2001 or 2002.. keep an eye on that sucker!
Went to a UT-4600 then... it was CRAZY, WAY too much stall for a stock internals car. Had a nutty STR
Moved to the TP-4200 last year when I couldn't take the UT anymore
