deleting obd codes on BMW
Wondering if anyone in or around Leesburg VA can delete 2 codes so I can pass inspection on my wifes car. So if anyone can help on deleting codes on a 97 bmw 318, will be gladly appreciated.

Unless you've repaired the issue, clearing the codes still won't get you a sticker.
Readiness values won't be completed until you drive the car. If it's a hard fault it will just come back.
OBD testing varies state to state so it depends. If it's only one emissions component being affected, you may be able to squeeze by.
For instance for 2000 and older cars in NH, you are allowed 1 readiness monitor not ready.

Hey guys this is probably going to blow your minds like it did me, but is it true that its is illegal to clear the codes off a car? An autozone employee who checked my uncles car said it was illegal and could land him in jail and a major lawsuit. Is this crap true?
