LS7 Clutch uneven wear
Hey Everyone,
I pulled my clutch out to rebuild my T56.
When i looked at my clutch, there was hot spots on half of the clutch surface, but the other half looks like the clutch disc has barely touched it, machining marks are still visible.
Clutch was installed and tq'd properly.
Anyone know what could be my issue? clutch has less then 5k.

Did you install a new flywheel when the clutch was installed? If not, was the original resurfaced? Have you checked the SAC-springs, which can be found on the top of the pressure-plate and that extend relative to disc wear. They should all be compressed equally. If they are not then it can indicate that the SAC-mechanism has misadjusted which can cause issues of release. If you can take a pictures of the plate I will be happy to provide more info based on what I see. Thanks,

I got it used as a complete unit. I never noticed whether it was un evenly worn when i installed it. I know the guy i got it off, had a new flywheel and pressure plate at the same time.
here's a shot of the pressure plate:
