pros and cons please I cant find any cons on megasquirt help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Buy it pre-configured from DIY...for the small price difference, they can save you a couple weeks of hassle and potentially washing down your motor by having the correct connections and internal switches set.
Once we did get it configured correctly, I enjoyed tuning with it and I learned a lot from it.
Stick it on the chassis dyno to establish the WOT fueling and use the wideband to set the no load idle to redline fuel curve....then drive around and fill in the cells between mostly by the feel of the car. I wouldn't use the self-learn function at first as the target a/f ratios you think would be correct aren't necessarily what the engine will want...especially in the mid load part throttle situations.
