Default Any feedback on TiAL SS Garrett Housings?

Anybody have any info (good or bad) on the TiAL Garrett Stainless Steel housings? I like the idea of the V-Band input and downpipe hookups on the turbine housing. The obvious downside is the price but they are pretty reasonable if you order a turbo with it.

With a V-Band turbo header collector like this, it seems like it would make a pretty compact setup.

I do wonder how restrictive it would be with the 2.3" V-Band on the exhaust intake? I'm currently running flipped truck manifolds with 2 1/2" pipe and T25 flanges.

I would think if it were restrictive they would have made them larger. The volume inside of an exhaust housing is pretty small.

very good according to the EVO guys!

almost as fast spool as twin scroll turbos and much smaler to help with packaging. Also a lot lighter.

Cheers

Chris.

We have a couple around the shop, and have used a few. All on small displacement stuff. They seem to work quite well. They sure are pretty too! TiAL says they are coming out with housings for the bigger turbos all the way up to GT55's.
When I was kicking the idea around of twins, I was planning on using 76's with the TiAL 1.0 housings.

We are building a twin GT35R setup with TiAL stainless hotsides on a 281 cu in 03 Cobra, the kit is done we just have to finish all the wiring. I will keep you posted on results after we have the car on the dyno. The turbos are very nice looking units!

Have used them a number of times, from 30r to 45r set-ups, on 4 cylinders and they work very well. It helps that they're pretty and light too.

Dan, a friend of mine whom I work with has them on his twin turbo Typhoon with GT35r's and they seem to work great. Almost 800rwhp at 10 boost. And as Shearer says, they are light and pretty
