Default decided on the CTS oil pan

well, after thinking it over for a lil while, i went ahead and decided to buy the CTS oil pan for my LS Chevelle swap. The LS1 is going in a 69 Chevelle, and the F body pan that i originally tried wasnt working out for me. I ordered the CTS pan, and received it today. Hopefully it fits!!!

Its freezing ***** cold in my shop right now, so i haven't test fitted anything yet, but when i do I will let you all know how it works out!

It should give you more room between the pan and crossmember, but still can be a pita to get the engine in but once it does get pass the front crossmember, you should be good. It also is the reason why I went with it 4 years ago...

Post some picture once you get it positioned ..

The F-Body is about 5.5", CTS is about 6.5", the truck is about 8" of drop in the sump.

I drop mine in and the truck pan hang too low in the front and it hit the center steering link. I then order the mod F body pan from S & P . will try it again when the pan come in
