Is this a LS2 block with L92 heads????

No it is not. It was a 5.7l engine used from 85-92. TPI motor.

I would agree that a L98 is a older 350 Chevy engine but I have seen L98 used in some threads on LS engines-this was by Australians.Apparently in Australia GM uses different designations for their engines.I don't know if its a LS2 or LS3 or what.

where is the L98 listed? is it an overseas motor? so its like an LS2.5?
what about an L76? does that have the rectangle port heads? wouldn't that be the 6.0 with L92 heads?

Yes , they use this combo in Australia

Ok it's a L76 without any DoD hardware is probably the best way to describe it. 6.0L with l92 heads and is used in GM models in Australia from 2006 to the present. The later autos have the DoD enabled.

I had one in my 2006 VE/G8 Holden Commodore.
