Only got half way thru as I couldn't take any more of that cheesy presenter's voice. Sounded like he was selling something on the shopping channel. :barf:

They are out of their tree for $56k for a Holden. I hate that they called it the Firehawk and no body roll? Didn't look like it to me.

The name has been a shame since it was put on the 4th gens. At least this one offers some sort of performance increase of the standard model..

Hate it. Ugh.
"...giving this bird a proper sendoff..."
WTF. No. Wrong. Nothing about this car is bird-like.
The only real Firehawk was the Firebird.

The funniest stat, ONLY 250 to be built. I bet less than a tenth were actually sold.

Sorry to see the Pontiac line die but glad to see this name go away on the G8's as well. Would love to get a hold of a set of those break calipers.
BTW-The announcer is John Davidson of Motor week, that show has been on PBS for a long, long time.

I'm not really interested in something priced way out of an acceptable range, but its still annoying that the car was discontinued.

I definitely agree with the brakes.
...but the Firehawk died in 2002 with the Firebirds.
60k for a overpriced piece of junk with a name on it lol. Body roll? that thing looked like a friggen boat in the ocean around the turns bahahahaha

for the price tag vs. performance... it should break 500hp at the tires not the flywheel..... it does looks cute for a 4door

The Firehawk died after 1992. The 93-02 Hawks were a joke.

Did anyone else notice what it trapped on their test course. They said it ran a 12.1 @ 124. IMO this is pretty damn good if it runs this at real tracks in "stock" form. If it does it definitely has more than 500 crank HP and isn't that overpriced IMO. 124 is close to stock C6Z trap speeds. Not a bad deal if you ask me.
As with everyone else though I don't like the name. Not a fan of the random black on it either.

Test course? Real tracks? This is MotorWeek we're talking about here. That car was tested on an actual dragstrip using timing lights, at 75-80 in Maryland. That car will go 126+ in better weather.

Wow 75-80 absolutely sucks, I didn't know it was tested there. Some times when car mags do reviews of cars they will do 0-60 tests and 1/4 mile stuff on normal highway pavement that isn't well prepped. That's why I said real tracks, I wasn't sure where they were when they got their 1/4 number.
Generally I don't trust publication times at all. Either way, if it does trap 124+ what other 4 door sedan under $100,000 can do that?

MotorWeek has been using that track since the early 80s. Their times are better than other mags because of it. They had a C5 Z06 trap 117 and LS1 Camaro and Trans Am trapping 107. Hell, they had a 305 Camaro running 14.7.
