Default FAST 102mm LSX-R intakes for cathedral port...

The FAST 92mm intake is no longer available through FAST. They are now going completely to the 102mm platform.
These intakes will be 849.00 plus shipping.

I will give more information as I get it. If you are interested in placing an order please give us a call.

Thanks

I heard these intakes will not fit fbodies with stock hoods and that a cowl will be needed to make this intake fit, can you confirm if this is true or not???

You're probably thinking of the FAST LSXrt manifold for cathedral port headed trucks. It's listed on this page, middle tab part number 146602 http://www.fuelairspark.com/2/FS/Intake/Default.aspx The new LSXr for cars is listed on the left tab, part number 146302.

you are definately thinking of the truck intake version. this intake will most definately fit an Fbody.

They will also fit corvettes. we are test fitting one to a C-5 vette right now as I type this.

What changed the 92 seemed to be working well. Do they have any real world results for the new manifold in the cathedral design.

I have seen very nice gains with the 92 in stock form and in ported versions so im very interested in see the new designs performance since it was not that impressive over the stock LS7 ported manifold and haven't heard any info of the 102 over the stock LS3 either.

Looks like they are trying to eliminate the 92 since its completely different casting than the 102 so their cutting down on their manufacturing costs by only making one manifold and now offering the different runners to fit multiple head configurations.

I just hope its not a ploy to cut down on costs and more for an improved product for the cathedral port intake guys.

Looking forward to see real world results ASAP.

If you already have a 92, then upgrading to this 102 really wont be a good option for you IMO. I think it will probably make 4 to 6 horsepower over the 92.

I think you hit the nail square on the head right there.

Were you able to test the 102 over the 92 cathedral port yet to see the actual difference.

If its not an across the board gain i think ill be looking for old stock 92's real soon.

Thanks for the feed back and head up info.

I havent personally done any testing, but I have seen the sheets that FAST did from testing and it is an across the board gain over the 92.

I know the person doing the testing over there personally and its legit. They dont fudge numbers to sell product.

Thank you for the good inside info only time will tell now when people start posting up individual results on different combos. I just wonder if this will hurt the small 346 builds that used the 90's and 92's.

It looks like its going to be a benefit for the larger displacement builds all around.

I think you hit the nail square on the head right there.

What about going from a ported 90 to a ported 102 on a 427?
