Default Best Car Show Setup

I'm looking for the best car show setup for my 99 z28. I all ready have my paint scheme setup and my rims and tires will be on the way soon as well as my new fog lights, head and tail lights, front bumper, and doors. I'm looking for advise on brake systems, and suspension systems. Any advise is appreciated.

Hello
This is just a suggestion for you! But anytime we go to a show we use mirrors underneath our vehicles to show what all we have done underneath. And sometimes we go as far as jacking the cars up and taking off the wheels so everyone can see how everything functions and ties together. But it also helps when its painted red......lol

Take it easy

Paint the calipers, and get drilled and slotted rotors.

This is a case where I'd go with a C5 brake system at least and get the z06 red calipers. You'd need a bracket if you were going with the bigger C5 rotors.

Suspension wise? Who cares. Whatever looks nice and shiny and puts your car at the level you like. Personally I hate really low rider cars. I'd go with a moderate drop. Depends on what the judges like.

in my mind there are a few types of "show cars" around, i'm not sure which you want:
a. a car that tries to look fast but isn't because you don't want to spend a lot of money
b. a car that actually is fast, turns fast, stops fast, looks good and is worth owning
c. a car that you dump as much money into as possible for no reason except to look at

hopefully you choose option b, in which case i would go with (at the very least) cts-v brembos with slotted only rotors, stainless lines, good fluid, etc. for brakes. then koni's, stranos(or coilovers if you want lower), swaybars, strut tower brace, lower control arms, relocation brackets, watts link, subframe connectors, tubular k member, and tubular upper and lower front control arms etc. all powdercoated to match your color scheme.

or if you're shooting more for option a, paint the calipers red(or buy ebay plastic brembo covers) and put sportlines on it.

I do a lot of car shows around here. Definitely nothing extraordinary, but car shows are big around military towns. I've won a few and the judges seemed most impressed with the fact that I have the suspension to go with the motor. Of course, it's all red and stands out.

Don't buy performance parts based on color, thats stupid, buy good parts and just paint them if you want them a different color.
