Dumbest question on E-cutouts
Excuse me if this is the dumbest question you've heard. If the piping under my car is 2.5", do i get a 2.5" cutout, or will 3" work? How does it go? I'm terribly sorry.

ahaaaaaa, nicee.... Thank u z28 for the info, and Night for not taking the easy opportunity to bash me lol.
I know how it works now, but in regards to it's application. Should i stick with the diameter of my stock exhaust? or can i bump it up another .5 inch (if that's even beneficial)
THANKS AGAIN FOLKSSSS

Well older stile y pipe were 2.5 in for clearance purposes so they stepped down from a 3 in collector. I don"t see why you couldn"t step back up, but don"t see a performance increase over it.

Well this is in regards to a 2009 Jetta. My ls1 is in NY, i moved to cairo and bought a jetta 9 months ago. They don't have cutouts here, so i want to put one on my jetta. Does that make a diff? I think the piping is 2.25" ... can i still get 3"?
