need ideas car getting repainted and I am trying to decide a color...
its black now but I am thinking about black and violet
pearl....what do you guys think? would that be bad?

Sounds like a job for Photoshop clones, or a low tech - Polaroids and Model Airplane paint (Don't laugh, it worked for me 20 years ago!)
I'd keep black as aprimary color to safe effort on jambs, seams, and other PITA areas, and put contrast on trim or seam areas... IMHO
Black/silver, black/purple, black/yellow, black/silver/red...... the possibilities are immense!

actually its going to a kind of chemeleon (i cant spell) color
the whole car will be black and sprayed with a light coat of
violet pearl, the paint guy said something about 1 1/2oz of
pearl for the whole car so it wont be very obvious. this means
absolutly notta to me I just know the demo material they
showed me looked cool.........
on a side note I dropped the car off yesterday to get this
started
I MISS MY CAR ALREADY
looked outside this morning and almost had a heart attack.
She was gone, AND SO WERE MY KEYS. then I remembered
my car is sleeping in someone elses garage till next weekend.
why do I feel worse then when my ex cheated on me?
supposed to be done by next weekend but I dont wanna wait

What he is talking about guys is just the like the old school Ford paint that they put on white cars, to where when the sun light hit it, would put a blue hue to the paint. Same concept here except with a purple pearl coat over the alreay black base.What will happen is when it is looked at in different angles it will have a purple hue to the black. I to have thought about doing this type of paint to my truck before I got the SS. Although I would like to see the same paint scheme with a dark blue as well. Sorry so long fellas.

well I had an accident and my insurance is covering everything but about 200
so its almost a free paintjob
on a side note I went and saw my car today, front bumper, rear bumper, wing, headlight assemblies, gas lid, ground effects and trans am logo on drivers and passengers doors all gone.......
man she sure looks bad right now

on mine they are actually sanding it down and starting over, but I did have
alot of body damage, they sanding process is done they are gonna spray it
monday, I am going at about 8:30ish to see a sample piece sprayed with
3 different amount so I can see how much pearl I want. I should be able to
pick the car up tuesday afternoon

well went to see my baby today, she is all primered up and ready to be
painted, I chose 3 coats of violet pearl off the test panels. I hope to get
her back on friday....I hate not having a car

saw her painted today, not buffed out yet but just painted, just plain
beautiful - I got all teary eyed she is going together tommarrow and I will
be able to pick her up friday
