Is there a company that fabs up this stuff or is it a personal fab?

All the cars I've seen converted were one off customs. They were typically purpose built race cars also. I've thought about doing it and buying a RWD chassis I like then skinning it with the sheet metal of the car I wanted to be RWD. A good donor would be a wrecked F-body or Corvette... good power train, plenty of engine and suspension upgrades available.

Look up user Civette...he did it with a Corvette chasis/Civic body in his garage!
