G-Force makes a kit that will hold 900rwhp but I think they stopped offering a warranty. We have our normal kits in cars that are making 1200rwhp without any issues. Of course when you get to the 700rwhp mark on a stock gear set you are on borrowed time. Most of our high HP cars we use a face plated stock gear set for since they are less likely to break the rings. One of our vipers made 1602rwhp/pegged the dyno on torque, has our face plated transmission in his car and ran 8.50's all day long with one 8.29 pass breaking the clutch.

Your best bet of course is research on the aftermarket gear sets but there are alot of guys that are not happy with them. Taner is one.

Thanks,
Amber

Right now I'm at about 600rwhp, Torque Arm relocated from Tail shaft, and all I have is a Ram Power Grip HD. lol

What would be something I could do now, to help keep my car on the road?

Once you start getting into that territory , things get tricky and your setup has to be right on the money . There are many issues to consider like your weight of your car , the type of clutch you intend on running , the type of tires , what rear gear ratio and how quickly your car comes into its power band . Most people suggest going to an race built auto like a power glide for these levels of power but you can harness it through a standard transmission if you have the cash to spend .

I gotcha.. The whole idea is to have a 900-1000rwhp LSX setup on my every day driver, with a six speed...
Already have the rear end, now I'm working on the transmission.

Well 900-1000 rwhp in a daily driver is going to a be task in itself . All I can say is good luck and don't cut corners on it or it will cost you double or triple that down the road .

Vos, if you want to spit up $7k you could get the tranzilla from RS gear. Its rated at or over 1000hp and has real strong gears, I think the only thing stock in thier t-56 is the case, everything else is forged.

For 7k, I'm sure you could find a more streetable transmission to hold up to power than that...

A t56 with stock gears in it could probably hold up to a 1000 rwhp as long as you have a Viper input and output shaft but for how long is the question . If you want the transmission to live at that power level , you'd best make the car as light as possible .

The Rockland gear setup is plain bad *** but I doubt I'll ever have any customers ante up the money to build one .

Mightymouse here had a T56 for sale that already had the viper output shaft and a bunch of internal mods. The tranny needed a few things to go back together, but it was a steal for what he was selling it for..

you should pm him..

I love how people talk about having 1000rwhp without knowing wtf they are getting themselves into

daily drivable? I wont' say its not possible but it sure isn't advisable unless your budget is unlimited. Hope you have a back up car.

Best bet is to call Amber and talk to her, I am running one of her transmissions

IDK about a 1000 RWHP "daily-driveable" car...just because, every time it passed a gas station it would get thirsty. Now, weekend cruiser/ricer ***-whooper...that's a def. possibility.

On topic...let me get back, and I'll look. If I'm not mistaken, when I had my car (R.I.P. Betsy '00-'06)...I was trying to find ways to make my M6 handle that kind of power...and I clearly remember several sources that had some info on it.
