Default red wheel plugs

WTF is the purpose of these things other than looks? Weld wheels use them all the time but wtf for? I mean the empty hole don't need a red plug in there. If anything, a black one would look better.

The red wheel plugs are used to hold the floating spacer in place during shipping. They can also be used to line up the spacer plate and bolt pattern on the wheel while installing tires.

Thanks. That makes sense. Just wondering. I was ordering some new center caps and seen them. They might look good with the new center caps with the red around the Weld.

Weld also sells a red chrome replacement plug and standard chrome that looks better than the red plugs that come with the wheels. They snap in the open set of lug holes on the Draglite and Rodlite. Looks even better with the red color in their logo.

Same here-I like the red plugs. But Ive seen black and yellow before to color match the car.
