Default Ok im stuck and confused need help please

Ok i bought a 2001 camaro ss back in 07 from a used car dealer. I could see rite away that it had been wrecked on the front passenger side cuz there was 2 types of black paint. anyway the sales guy told me the man hit a deer and that was the story. well i bought it supposedly stock well i went strait to the track that weekend and my freinds told me it was gonna run 9.2 to 9.5 bone stock in the 1/8 mile. well i made my first pass and i ran 8.52 they said that aint rite so i ran agian same time 8.54. so we looked and it had a magnaflo exhaust thats it. well i put a fast 92/ tb 92 ported, diablo predator sport tune, slp lid and intake, bellow,17 boyd coddington and bfg drag radial and a ford 9 inch and i ran a 7.95 is my best average 7.99 8.00. so is that normal cuz me and them dont think so. well a deer ran into my side door while driving down the road and i got a new fender and went to the chevy dealership for a ss badge gave them my vin number and they said it was a z28 so im stumped why a z28 ran them times. thanks for advice I want to change exhaust and other mods and need advice. I want to run Jet hot LT,ORY,and borla exhaust or hooker. plus I am looking at TR Heads/cam Cheater v.3 package. any advice I aint no I wrote that much sorry

no difference in internals... call slp and give them the last 8 or 10 (cant remember) and they will tell you if it's a true SS... you can also look at the passenger side door to see if you have SLP stickers for it, and drivers side too...

mine doesnt have any SLP stickers for some reason

mid 8's to upper 8's in the 1/8th is what a stock ls1 runs.
