Holley LS Fest - September 2010 ~ LSx event in Bowling Green

Well guys, I heard from a little birdie that there will be an event at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, KY sometime in September and is supposedly going to be structured similarly to the LSX shootout. Hopefully more information will become available soon, but here's a heads up to everyone.

Are you sure they were not refering to the LTx Shootout. Its Sept. 4th at Beech Bend.

The rumor is an LS based event. Possibly something in conjunction with the LTx shootout. I guess time will tell.

im glad its an lsx only event!

unlike the lsx shootout, which piggy-backs with the nmca nationals. i went last year to the shootout and wasnt very impressed with way it was organized. they even let local bracket races run. which consisted of junk trucks breaking down every 10 minutes.

anyway, im just sayin im glad there is more than one lsx event now. i cant wait!

Last years NMCA/LSX Shootout was anything but normal with weather issues causing flooding in the pits and numerous oil downs and accidents on the track all out of our control. We have appologized for this several times. If you have been to any of the other LSX Shootouts you would know that the events runs alot smoother than it did last year. We strive to put on a great show and understand we will not make everyone happy but life goes on and the LSX Shootout will be moving on too and to a different venue (St Louis) it's all in the past and we are moving on.

Yep, the rain was a killer, so this year it won't rain and Gateway is also a great track can't wait!

u'r right alot of things couldnt be helped, it just played out that way.
i still LOVE the event, and i am happy its moving out of memphis.
even though this means more driving for me,lol, i think st louis facilty will be alot better

They let up for the bigger events in town. Plus you just got to know when and where to act a fool.

Can't say I know any Grubb's, but then again I know a lot of faces that I can't put names with so their is a good chance that we may have crossed paths.

Nah but the tree and a lot of shit appear to be missing on a couple of photos from recent(local photographer)

Track has been flooded in years past, we'll be fine. Bring suntan lotion!

They take the tree down after every race. The track was under more than ten feet, try 15-20 feet of water!! It was insane but they have everything working again and are gonna start back racing this weekend.
