1/8 mile Torque or HP

Building a 416 w/TH-400. Going to run 1/8 mile, do I want a car with more torque or more hp? Always ran the 1/4 mile, so I'm thinking torque.

as broad a torque band as you can get will help but hp if you gear the crap out of it like 5.13's

broad/high/and far to the right. with lots of gear and tire.
