I was in need,of a tranny to hook to my 5.3 and I went back to the place I used for the engine and they hook me up with a 2008 4l60E out of a DOT tahoe. is there any difference between a regular tranny and one out of a COP car? I dont think so, but want to be sure

Not sure bout the newer stuff, but my dad was head of automotive for a district of the state police and all the cars had the 1st gear manual locked out.
