Default Update on 95 rcsb LSX swap. NOW 6 speed!

Hey guys here is the original thread that I started a while back ago on the swap.https://ls1tech.com/forums/texas-mem...silverado.html
Here is the update!
I just went down to El Paso Texas this past weekend and installed a t56 6-speed in it. We installed a built 6 speed and spec4 clutch ,pressure plate and flywheel. It was automatic with a th350 before the swap. Truck runs awesome! Next on the list will be a built rearend with 4.56 gears and suspension work. Here are some videos and pics of the swap from this weekend. Enjoy! and any questions just ask. For the guys that wanted the wheel specs I have the numbers from the wheels I just need to decode them.
This is the clip when we get on the freeway.. but a little traffic kept us from hitting the rest of the gears.

This is a clip of us doing short runs on his block..

This is a little burn out.. you can see that we need suspension work by the wheelhop in the rear.

Not sure if they are coming off. My brother has been thinking of an lsx454 so we will see what he comes up with in the next couple of months.

I like it! i use to have an 89 ext cab silverado with a 4/6 drop, was fun to drive and would like another one except airbags this time for a smoother ride.

My intentions were to bagg the truck but that has been put on hold. The reason I removed the innder fender wells was because of the front tires constantly rubbing. I dig the look so it will stay that way for a while. Once we decide to bagg it we will most likely do a custom tub in the front. As for the floor board.. lol.. The interior will be redone in all black so it will also stay that way for a while.

Nice job. I would definitely take the 454SS stickers off though since it was never a true 454SS. But having owned 6 real 454SS trucks, I'm a little biased. Black interior should look real nice in there.

nice truck. good clean work on the swap. the only thing i would have done different was use the low mount f body alt. braket rather than the y body top mount just to kind of clean it up a bit more on the top side of the motor. other than that like i said good clean work i like it a lot.

We were going to go that route in the beginning but we are planning ahead a little... my brother wanted to go front mount turbo so we decide to keep room on the bottom. Now he wants a 454lsx so we don't know which way we are going right now. If we do go turbo then we will have the room we need with the vette acc.

It is a staight forward swap. Once you guys decide to do the swap if you have any questions just ask. It would be a nice father and son project, just let him do most of the work so he can appreciate the truck alot more when he is done. Especially when he brags to his buddies that he did all of the work.
