nnbs silverado 4.3 to 5.3 swap
alright, this may be better off somewhere else but i figured i'd give this a try.
i'm looking at an 07 or 08 (not real sure the year) silverado thats wrecked and i can get fair priced. i like everything about it other than it has a 4.3L motor and i was wondering how much trouble it would be to swap to say a 5.3L. i'm doing a blazer/lsx swap right now and was kinda wondering if it would be something like that or what. i want it as factory as i can get it.
i have also been told it could be a pretty basic swap with a complete motor harness and ecu.
my main thing i'm tryin to figure out is if the wiring will hook up pretty much plug and play if i got one for a 5.3 or not. i know it will to the motor but i'm more worried about the body and frame connetions. thanks

I dont see why it would be difficult at all. The trucks come with those motors so why are you questioning the swap? If you get the ecu and wiring harness i dont see ant problems. You might be able to find one from a 07 or 08 and make it a simple swap.
