Just the usual LS1 swap stuff. Use the v-8 mounts. Have the LS1 computer programmed as a stand-alone installation. Same with the harness. Pretty straight forward install.

Everything is deleted out of the computer, that prevents the engine from starting. So the engine/trans don't know what its been installed into. It could run in a boat, a car, a truck...whatever. An example of things that need to be deleted would be: VATS(vehicle anti-theft system), EGR(if the engine even has it), the two rear oxygen sensors(of the four in the system), etc. Items that need to be altered for the vehicle its going into would be things like: tire diameter, rear end gear ratio, fan temperature control, transmission shift points, type of alternator, speedometer calibration, etc... Hope this helps.

Really, the only thing that needs to be removed from the computer, to allow the engine to actually start & run in place, is the VATS system though.

If you have a v6 car and a wrecked v8 car it's alot easier to just swap everything... body harness, engine bay harness, and engine harness, subframe with engine stands, and cluster

With your V6 car alot of the Wiring will be inplace..all you would need is the V8 K-member & Mounts, Steering Rack & Linkage, and the V8 PCM & Wiring.

Ya ofcourse the Engine too.

There entire wiring harness has to be swapped over from car to car, engine and the interior harness.

Not necessarily.. that is what I was tryin to say. I'm using my stock 1995 Body wiring..1999 LS1 Engine Harness & 2002 PCM.

All the wiring is there in the V6 car..expecially the 1999's..there is so many damn wires in these new cars..lol
