I just picked up a spare tire for my 2008 GXP brand new online from Jones Auto Parts in Kentucky from a 2008 Buick Lucerne for $40.00 plus shipping. Ive been getting nervous driving without one. Dont know if they have more but I think its a great deal. With shipping the total was $60.00 and they packaged this thing really well.

New G8's come with an air compressor and can of fix-a-flat. Seems like that'd be a viable option for us to lose some weight.

Thats what the GXP comes with. I dont want to deal with that at all. Give me a spare any day, I'll deal with the extra weight.

I figured they gave us the sealant and pump because of the staggered wheels. Then when my step-dad got his G8, I realized it was because GM is cheap...

Looks like the same rim. I drive about 65 miles a day, only a matter of time. Got nailed on the highway this week by a big metal bar, put a big scratch/gouge under the license plate. I was lucky it didnt get higher and go thru the radiator.
