Default looking for a cts-v to purchase, are there just not many available?

looking online and on autotrader, and there just arent many available. i keep reading about guys selling nice V1s for 18k or so, but everywhere i look online is 26-28k.

what the hell is going on. can you folks help me find a nice lower milage 05-06 for around 20k in the southeast? figured florida would be crawling with them, but apparently i am mistaken.

Gator, dont feel bad. We just bought a 05 with 38k miles with tons of extras for low 20's. I am sure you saw it lised in the autotrader for 26k, this was a very clean car with nice mods. I didnt want to pay more than 20-22k for a car but bit on this one for the CCW wheels alone. But I heard people always saying hey you can get one for 18k and i couldnt find any in the Southeast for that. I even have access to the auction and every 05 in the southeast sells for at least 20k wholesale with less than 45k miles. think Val ward had a silver one with lower miles for 21k.

You might need to expand your search territory.

Not sure where you live in FL, but this one is ~130m from Orlando. 62k miles for $19k:

This one is in NC (~400miles) and doesn't look too bad. 56K for $19k and still has warranty:

Looks to be a few decent ones depending on how far you want to drive to look at it. Maybe a forum member in that area would go look at it for you. Keep in mind, all prices are negotiable. Someone asking $21k might come down to ~$19k. You never know...

Probably not worth the hassle, but a good body shop should be able to plug those up and match that silver paint pretty easy. See if they'll come down more off price to off-set the costs. Or, see if they'll take full price and have their body shop fix them. Like I said, longshot, but may be worth a try if everything else is good on the car.

You might be looking for a unicorn at that price and mileage point. I bought a 1-owner '05 in excellent condition with 45k that came with an extended GM warranty (until 1/2011) and Borla exhaust for $21k back when the economy was really bad. You might have to come up with another $1-2k to get what you want. Either that or wait awhile for a great deal to drop in your lap, which is entirely possible.

Why not an 04?

You can them in the teens fairly easy... And with decently low miles (50-60k)...

Just want to add another car for reference. I just picked up a very clean red '05 with no sunroof and 52,000 miles for $19750. It came with two sets of wheels (winter/summer) with great condition tires, and it's under GM Major-guard warranty for another 12,000 miles.

There was a similar car listed on racing junk with only 30,000 miles in PA. The owner said he would let it go for $20500.

You guys pay alot for your V's. There is an 05 down here at the dealer for $18,900 right now and they will prob nego. Silver exterior, grey interior, 45k miles, 100k warranty, some good bolt-ons, etc.

Also know where a silver 04 V is with black interior, 65k miles, new tires and some good bolt ons also for $15k.

My buddy has a silver 04 V with tan interior w/ 100k miles. Has HPE stage 3 heads/cam, full exhaust, black wheels, lights, etc and he wants $16k for it.

I wont pay over $17k for a V. Good deals are out there especially in this market...

Well anywhere in florida you cant touch a "clean" 05 with less than 45k miles for less than 20k, i looked for months. Maybe in other parts of the country you may find some for cheaper but I hate to sound picky but too many people versions of clean dont exactly fit my idea of clean and then spend airfare and time to find out what clean means to them isnt yours. The silver ones are a hair cheaper from what i noticed compared to a black on black and you couldnt pay me to take a silver on tan car.

Spoken from a guy with a Mustang as his avatar with "WTB a CTSV" in his sig. If you're deals are so great, then why haven't you bought one of them? That "supposed" one you know of for $15k fits right into your WTB criteria.

If your buddy wants to demod his heads and catback tell him to PM me, He is giving all that away at 16K anyway.

Yeah, black/black does seem to be a little more. Silver/black is still a nice combo. Im not really a big fan of grey or tan interior but if the price was stellar and i could drive it for awhile and make money or break even like i have done on all my cars, id deal with it.
