Ok...I am getting ready to send my o6 z06 to vengeance for heads intake and new clutch/drivetrain hopefully to hit 600 to the wheels...Should I go ahead and build a 440 stroker or just be done with the car for a while..How much power would a 440 produce...I wouldn't think that much....?????

there are many threads in this section. start reading.

seems like you will be spending a decent amount of change on your upcoming visit so i would say do it while everything is getting done. why go back in later an spend more money to tear the car down again? use the 440 to eat up some of the cam and slightly better power curve. sell your crank. maybe even a 100shot...if ya want

I wouldn't worry about the 440 unless you are wanting to forge your bottom end. In that case, a sleeved motor will probably be stronger than the stock LS7.

^curious, but what does a sleeve job usually run?

Pretty broad question. It could make 500 RWHP or it could make 700 RWHP.

It all depends on your wallet and how aggressive you want it to be.

If you want to forge it I'd definately go for the extra cubes, but if you were doing it just for 13 cubes I wouldn't bother. You're in good hands though.

Yeah man I think bang for the buck heads cam and boltons get pretty good power...it really seems like that maxes you out N/A....Spending 15 or 20k for 40 or 50 more hp is just stupid....Way cheaper going forced induction....

All things considered if you are already doing heads/cam on the C6 Z06 the additional items for 440 cubic inches would be:

Labor to R&R Shortblock
Rotating Assembly
Few more misc gaskets
Machine shop Fees.. You already have the block to do it.

That being said, for roughly the same investment you skip the heads and add an A&A T Trim/Fuel System and make 650rwhp on a SOFT tune/minimal boost... We have many C6 Z06s making high 700s on stock shortblocks and they are doing just fine.

Ahh well, lets get the C6 LS3 done first then on to the C6Z :) Cya soon!!!

As you can see I like to get a little bit ahead of myself huh Ron...haha...I really wish I only had one car sometimes!!! See you soon!

peak power would be similiar but under the curve will be stronger, it will be a even more broad power band, plus it might peak a little earlier...... i say throw an A&A T-trim on it and call it a day

ok....Lets say i do go with the blower...Maybe swap the lg g7x4 cam with a blower cam and with the blower and all boltons of course...what kind of power can i make with the stock ls7 bottom end....And do i still need to put a set of heads on it...And all everybody talks about is the A&A...What about a techco??????

Or if you want to stay NA but with more power how about AllPro LS7 heads?

Ron@Vengeance

No need for heads if going with forced induction... Mid 700s on RWHP on the stock bottom end...

I agree with this. To buy a rotating assembly for 13 cubes is pretty expensive for very little gaines. You will gain much more with badass heads cam etc. After you have a good top end go with a power adder if you want more.

I got bored and called thunder racing about the all pro lsw's and they didn't recomend them for a stock displacement ls7...however, I saw a top end build on the corvette forum close to mine that made 599 whp with a shit load of torque so.....

Check the dyno section on here. Geforce made 600+ with All Pro's and a cam change in a Vette a little bit ago.

It's a lot of money though when you get done dressing the out with titanium valves and Jesel rockers but if you can afford them they are a premium LS7 style head.

If you want them we can help you out with it, I carry all of WCCH heads. Availability is another thing.

Yeah that kinda sounds good to me....But I gotta talk to ronnie boy about and see what he thinks first....wouldn't it be better to get the bare heads and assemble them myself or would I be missing out on some ponies??

Well, I like to leave the heads in the hands of the people who work them all the time to make sure they are set up properly. If your competent doing it then there shouldn't be a difference in power but WCCH can set them up for you nicely.

I'm sure Ron and the guys at Vengeance can do the same, I have HKE set them up for our engines as we usually always go with HKE special spring packages.

Matt we are a dealer for WCCH as well... We have run the All Pros on some pretty stout combos...

Another option that is alot less expensive is Advanced Induction.. We made 597/544 legit thru full exhaust with our Stage II LS7 camshaft/Advanced Induction LS7 Heads

Speaking of heads, your CNC LS3 heads are being bolted down as I type this... Should have some results tomorrow morning!!!!

The A&A supercharger kits are dope. I have had the badboy-cam motor builds and I am telling ya, the linear pull of those blowers will melt your freakin bones. Its sexy to say that you have a big cube, fire breathing bad ass under the hood, but you will LOVE the drivability and dependability of the blower kit and cam. You should Search for Wes Choate's A&A 347 Vette... Car made over 900 to the tire... And that was on MY OLD 347 with TEA LS6 heads..

BTW Ron...
I saw the FRC Vette in GMHTP!!! That car turned out great! I still remember that thing on the lift, last summer when we were down! Hope to see you guys soon! Springs coming, and I have the itch again! (not crabs, haha)

Well hell yeah...I've got something to look forward to tommorrow....And we already talked about the induction heads, they sound nice...We will talk about it when I come down next week...Pull that thing as hard as you can!

I would stay NA, especially if you want to track the car. If not, then up to you which way to go.

Every time I see blower cars at Road America - They are sitting in the pits with all of the NA guys racing...

Up to you Matt.
