Hey i just bought a brand new pro 5.0 for 130 bucks.. I drove my friends camaro that had one and i loved it. Does 130 bucks sound like i got a pretty good deal? And is the pro 5.0 a pretty good shifter?

That sounds like a nice price. I love mine and it's been in the car for 7 years now. Topped it with a billet **** and the whole thing feels like its made out of billet when shifting. Solid and reliable.

A lot of people really like that shifter...sounds like you got a great deal. If you liked driving the one you did, then you should like the one you bought just as much. Install it and don't look back.

PRO 5.0 is awesome. It's usually the first mod I do to all my stick cars.

I have the lou's short stick on my pro 5.0, I find i can't speed shift 3rd and 4th, or the trans grinds. 2nd gear is ok. It was fine with the stock shifter but now it shifts so fast the syncros can't keep up.

I've sold Pro 5.0 shifters for a long time and they are great shifter. About the only one thats a little better is the MGW shifters.

Don't forget you can trim the 5.0 handle if you would like it shorter. I cut about a 1.25" off of mine and love it.

The Pro 5.0 has springs in it that make it align better when doing the 3-4 shift. It prevents the dreaded 3-2 shift.

I've had it for about five years now. No problems so far. Thinking about getting a shorter stick for it though.
