plan on building my own 9"
a friend of mine gave me a 9" from a late 80's E-250/350
i dont have it yet to be able to measure flange to flange. I was wondering if anyone has built their own... such as cut off the existing flanges and brackets from the 10 bolt and welding them onto the 9" after i cut off the old brackets.
I was wondering if i was able to keep a torque arm setup or if i'll need to go to a 4-link which i wouldnt mind either. i also plan on back bracing it too
i am doing this due to cost and experince
Thanks

I think under the 8.8 build thread there is a picture of a 9" with a torque arm mount. I believe that Currie makes one also. As long as your measurements are accurate and angles precise you will have no problems.

sorry i meant to put 9:30 pm... but im in engine machining
did you bring in your stock 10 bolt and level that as if it was in the car and measure the existing brackets... then you cut them off and are welding them onto your 9" at the same angles?
