Default Changing Gears From 3.23 To 3.73

How hard is it to remove my old gears and put in the new gears? What tools will I need to do this? Do I have to press on the new bearings? Can I reuse my old bearings they have 40K on them. What will these do for my quarter mile time?

i,m doing the same swap in a couple weeks(to busy now) i've done hundreds and if you dont know what your doing or have the right tools and experience you will hate your gears. let someone do it who knows how it is to your advantage.

Gears are pretty easy to do. Ive set up several rear ends with no problems. If you want a tech article on how to do it read tech article at http://www.fullsizechevy.com/forum/s...threadid=41808 I need to snap some new pics and add them back in. Someday. Everytime I do one Im either too greasy to touch a camera or I forget to plus I never have the luxury of someone standing around playing pocket pool. Take your time and do it right and they will turn out fine.
