Smile 6.0L (LQ4) or 5.3L ?

I have a 6.0L LQ4, that is missing some pieces. I have a line on a complete 5.3L with harness out of a 2001 Tahoe. What should I do? Do I use the 5.3L for the parts that the 6.0L needs, or do I go with the 5.3L ? I am putting one of these engines in my 81 Camaro. Also is there a way I could use the truck computer, or do I need to get a F-Body computer. I am going to do a budget minded swap, I am getting a cam and intake, nothing major. Any help would be apprecited.

Its up to you. With a simple cam swap you can have as much power as the 6.0. You can use what ever PCM and harness you want. (not flexfuel) and have your local tuner reflash or tune it for you

Sounds good. I think I'm going to use the 5.3L because it is all together. What is a decent cam to use, nothing wild just better than stock. I'm looking for about 400hp. I plan on using a 6 speed trans, and Detroit Speed and Engineering suspension. This car is going to be set up as a street driven, drag race, and autocross.

Thanks
