Default Took the T/A to the track, 1st time

I took my 01 WS6 to the track tonight for the first time with this car. I didnt know what to expect because it pretty close to stock. I had a 97 Ws6 M6 and could cut 2.0 60s all day but not with this one.

60ft-2.2028
330ft-5.78
1/8th-8.697
1/4-13.2710

Car has just magnaflow CB and lid with a filthy K&N. I think my clutch may be letting go because at the end of the track the peddle was very squishy until i shifted a few times. I guess I know where i need to go. I was consistant 13.3 all day and hit 108mph twice. Any advice for the lauch of an LS1? I would ride it out at about 2-2500.

Looks like some pretty solid times to me if you factor in the 2.2 60ft vs a 2.0 you used to run. Are your tires any different? Anything can make a difference.

Search the manual transmission forum for your squishy pedal, it may not be the clutch going bad, it could be something as simple as needing to change the fluid. (or needing a better master cylinder, or a new slave cylinder).

Very good times for a pretty much stock car. When my car was exhaust/lid only best I ran was 13.4 and I have an 01 WS6 6 spd myself.

For the pedal feel you had look just read this link and it will give you all the info you need: https://ls1tech.com/forums/manual-tr...-write-up.html

The 2.0 was in my old LT1 car. I am on sumitumo tires. I was thinking if I could cut that down to a 2.0 I might see a 12.9. I was the slowest Fbody out there.

Where are you from?

That is a pretty respectable ET for a C/B and Lid/filter on street tires.

Good job.

I'd be very happy if I pulled a 13.2 my first time to the track lol. Congrats! Now find a zero traffic back road with a stop sign, and practice those launches.

I trapped 108 on the 13.2 and trapped another 108 on a 13.3, but I was mostly running 107. Ordered my pace setter LTs and frost tune, wonder where i should be then.

Yes in deed! im happy with the car. There were 3 SS camaros there running in mid 12's with headers and bolt ons. and 1 with cam running high 11s so a 13.2 was far from impressive to me that day.
