Default People selling FAST intakes?

Why does it seem like everyone is selling their FAST 90mm and 92mm intakes. Thought these were supposed to be the cats meow. I sometimes think of buying one but am curious as to why someone would want to take it off their car in place for something else. Is there something out there better that im not aware of?

Prob cause they are broke and need the money..

I'm not too really interested in the one for the L92/LS3 Heads..didn't see much of an improvement to make it worth $1k.

Guess your right. I just got worried it was like the SLP MAF thing where everybody got one and now everybody is trying to get rid of them.

Because the new 102mm is out for the cathedral heads and is supposed to perform 5-7rwhp according to FAST for about 1000$

A ported would be equal to a stock 102, I guess, but would cost more. Thats why the 92mm is suddenly outdated.

maybe on the bigger cube cars...I can't see it helping that much on a 346...unless it is really redesigned but I am sure it still has the same base and middle as the 92...

I would wait for results first...

Why does it seem as though the reading comprehension on this forum continues to drop to new lows every day?

FAST intakes are EXTERNAL modifications.

also alot of people are switching to carb intakes for the more radical motors.

they are becoming more user friendly and along with the most updated FAST...the 90s and 92 are getting cheaper.

which is NICE

Correct me if im wrong but without a bigger cam or heads, a FAST intake wouldn't be a cost effective choice for a motor with an LS6 intake on it right. Would it hurt power to run one in the mean time while waiting to do heads/cam?

I've bought a used 90 intake two different times (the one on the T/A I used to own and then the one on my Z06). I got both for under $650 so there are "deals" out there.

I personally sold my 92mm to upgrade to the LSXR 102mm, although it was the LS3 version.

I know another guy who has his Camaro stored for the winter that just sold his 92mm LSX just so he could get the 102mm version.

Its funny, Ive read into this and FAST says 3-4hp over the old FAST LSX 92mm and its grown through forum chatter to 5-7hp...lol

Yeah I dont know where the 5-7 HP came from I was just trying to clear up what that guy was stating.

Though 3-4 Hp for about $25 more you cant complain. If you gain 25HP from a 92mm you're spending about $33 for each HP so it isnt really that bad.
