Default 11 This Spring Maybe??

Im not really into Racing this Car as much as others Iv had idk y..but Iv been to the track twice I think.

2000 Firehawk
6 speed, Monster Stage 3
LS6 Crate (stock 243s)
MS4 Cam
Full Exhaust
UMI Ajd T/A Adj Panhard bar, and LCAs in the lowest setting
Stock shocks and springs
4:10s in the 10 bolt
315/35/17 Micky Ts with 12lbs of air or so

Last Time out

Best When 12.37@ 117-118 I think with a 2.3 60ft lol.. I did have a 2.0 60ft but missed 4th..
Anyway..

Im thinking if I could get the car to transfer weight it might do better.

It spins most of first and a lot of second and still in 3rd..(horrable track is most of it)

But Im thinking of doing some Strano Springs and Konis shocks so I can adjust them..(not a race car so..dont want QA1s or similar)

Then some 15in wheels and a 275/50/15 slick..

Finally a New Rear..4:30 gears...prob a Fabd 9in..cus they look cool lol..

Does this look like high 11s?

You don't even need the gear change to get into the 11's, just get the 60ft down.

Slicks alone will get you into the 11s but I see you are still on the 10 bolt so with slicks you are on borrowed time, maybe good enough for at least one or two 11 sec passes. GL

An easy launch around a 1.9 60' will get you in the 11s as is.. bring a bottle of VHT with you and spray down the tires before your run, let it sit for a couple minutes, do your burnout and traction even on an unprepped surface won't be of any concern.

VHT taste pretty good, but you will not **** for two weeks.

I would say with traction you should be mid to high 11`s, thats just my guess. Did you ever find someone to buy your wheels?

Kinda..but too many low ball offers for the most part..I decided Id hang on to them..kinda just pissed me off really about tryn to sell um..more of a pain responding to everyones low offers of $500 for a set of wheels..comeon..but anyway..

Im geting a rearend pretty soon..Im almost thinking a 4:56 with a 28in tire..

I know you have already thought of this, but you could buy 2 15x10`s for the rear and have the ability to switch between street and strip. I still think those wheels are a great look on a F-body. Spring is getting closer

I would advise against 4.56's. You said that the car isnt a race car so i assume that you drive it often of the street? With 4.56's on 315/35/17 tires you will only have 117 mph at 7000rpm, and 109-110 mph at 6500 R's at the top of 4th gear. IF you dont mind those speeds on dr's/street tires than 4.56's on a 28 inch tall tire will net you 6400 rpms crossing the line at 117-118mph in 4th that you stated, 128mph will be at 7k in 4th. IMO, I would get the 9inch rear and do 4.10's at the most. On 275/50/15's and 4.10's it will be at 6300 r's crossing the line at 118mph, and you will have 131 mph if you want to take it to 7k. BTW 275/50/15 tires are almost the same height as stock tires. (25.82 inches vs 275/40/17 which is 25.66 inches.) Also for future mods you dont want to be suck with a car only having 127/128 mph at the top of 4th...

I maybe put 3000 miles on it a year..mainly to car shows. Im thinking 4:56s will do fine with a 28in tire!

Things have changed..Im going to a Pinks Event and Doing a lot of changes now lol

Oh okay, for the track 4.56's will be great with 28 inch tires trapping 118. I was just making sure that you know that you would only have 115-120 mph in 4th on street tires lol.
