I know from a lil Orange C6 that the stock motor will take a 200 shot for quite some time.

I'm just not sold on the bigger then stock stroker kits, why dont they make more power then that?

The only advantage I see is the satisfaction of having forged parts. Can anyone tell me why you need to go bigger CI if they only make minimum gains vs a stock ci Ls3?

I know you posted that it has stock heads and intake but the FAST intake and 102 TB is a joke for the money. 1500 bucks for 12 rwhp to me is anyhow for the FAST stuff.

Mike,

Nice numbers, what do you think it would pick up with some heads suited for that set up? Also what range are the cam only and heads/cam ls3 in far as rwhp? I have seen people post any where from 470-500 cam only, 520ish with heads. Your strokers making 60+ more TQ then the other cam only cars. So I imagine with heads, intake and TB that thing would be more of a monster then it already is.

Neil

Why not go bigger it does not cost much more and any HP gained is an advantage. A cam and bolt LS3 Vette will make around 500 RWHP depending on cam size. So for a minimal amount of money you get 30 more RWHP and 50+ more RWTQ so I dont understand why you wouldnt want more cubic inches. Remember the old addage "There is no replacement for displacement"

It made less rwhp and 11 more tq then my stock ci shortblock. I do have heads, but their cheaper then a stroker kit.

Try looking further than peak numbers.

I will overlay a ls3 vette cam only dyno vs. the 416 dyno. You will see the "under the curve gains" are huge.

Neil

With some Mast 12deg Ls3 heads and a 102/102 combo. 565-580 rwhp is possible.

You have a sort of freak for a heads cam/car. Your graph overlaid with a stroker motor will show you the gain from the stroker. Its well worth the money.

Seriously? A 416 vs stock ls3 both having same peak numbers the stroker will **** all over the stock cubed engine. People get too hung up on peak numbers.
