Default sound in rear

I have a 99 ws6 with about 91xxx on it, i have a rubbing/grinding sound in the rear but i had all of the bearings in the back axle replaced by GM, I put in new brakes and it still continues....any ideas?

Do you happen to have a set of aftermarket gears in the rear? If so some will be a little noisy. If not then never-mind I was just throwing that out there.

I don't believe I do. How do I check the shims? or is it something that a mechanic needs to check?
