Default Best 3.73 gears?

In the near future i plan on dropping in a set of 3.73's in my 99 ta. It is an A4 and i was wondering what you guys would recommend for a brand?

either GM gears or Motive.. IMO

I have always ran Richmond and never a problem. Remember that you get what you pay for.

Running Richmond 3.73s in my stock 10 bolt for well over a year and have had no problems.

Richmond...

I have about 12,500 street / hi-way miles, and 100+ 1/4 mile passes including running in competition with DR's, and a 3,200 Stall in an A4.

I like American Axle & Manufacturing (AAM). I think they make OE GM years, they are 2 cut gears and set up a little tight about .006 back lash. I paid 200.00 for the set 5-6 years ago. I bough from a vendor on here. ( may have been Texas driveline ?)

everyones going to have their preferance but what really matters is if they are installed correctly! if done right they shouldnt wine or have any problems to begin with...
