Default 4th gen Lt1 swap to LSX?

Ok guys I'm sure this has a thread but I went 5 pages back and didnt find anything. I'm thinking of converting from a 1994 Z-28 A4 4l60e lt1 to a LS. What all needs to be done. What is a cost effective way. What all will it cost? I'm talking K members tuning software Moter younameitthe whole thing. Everything. I have alot of LT1 performance parts to sell so I know nothing is cheap in a turbo high HP project. but I alreay have my turbo and waste gate and blow off. I also have a very good fuel system for a lt1 turbo project. My Goal is 750 RWHP.

I'm trying to figure should I stick with the lt1 or go LS. I dont want to over look anything. Thank you for any help.

I'm working on the same thing, 95 z28 A4 to LSX A4.

99-02 PCM, wiring harness - tune
LS1 K-member, steering rack and shaft
LS1 4L60e trans (or 95+ 4L60e trans if you find a good deal)
LSx engine

I would even be fine with a LS1 ls2 or ls6... I cant do a lsx/ls7 I wish i could just to much $$ Is the 99 -02 pcm good for 750rwhp do you need to buy some tuning sofware or can i just take it to a LS tuner? What about the CTSV ls6's? will the pcm work? Or a 98 LS1 PCM?

I would go with the 99-02 Wiring & PCM.

As for the rest..if you want 750 to the wheels then you better toss out the 4L60E and go with a 4L80E.

I swapped my 95 Z over..here is my thread..

Big difference..the Pinout is different..and the Tuning capabilities are alot better in the 1999-02. IMO since you are starting the swap you might as well get the good stuff.

Cost really depends on how many things you keep functional. Going turbo I would guess you ditch the A/C. Check out the link in my sig for my swap details.

Yes you can use the trans. Need the crank spacer, flexplate with proper bolt spacing, grind out hole in crossmember for trans mount. Theres some pics in the link in my sig.
