Default wires but no switch

I have a 1998 Camaro Z28 which I bought in Nov 1997. I am doing some work on replaceing the radio and steering wheel controls. When I took the plastic cover off so i could get to the screws on the radio I found some wires to the dummy plug that is next to my Fog Light switch. Am I missing somthing here?

may be wires to an ASR (TCS) switch. the ASR button is next to the fog switch if equipped with traction control

Yes that is where these wires are. Is it possible they forgot to put the switch in? How could I tell if I am supposed to have traction control? Thanx for the reply.

no prob man. look under the hood and see if you have a TCS module on the passenger fender by the battery. if you do have TCS, a cable from the pedal will route to the TCS module under the hood and a cable will route off of the TCS module to the throttlebody

Look for option code NW9 on your door sticker.

You have a much better chance of being hit by lightning than having a car with ASR where they forgot the switch.
