10 Second Club - can i make it

my best to date was 11.97 at 117 with a 125shot and 3.42 gears i added 3.73's im getting a built trans and a 3200 circle d stall also will have full tubular rear suspention and pacesetter lt ory and dumped before axle. can i hit 10.99 with this setup

Maybe on true slicks, 150 shot, and a good tune.

I think you should go with a bigger stall! I would call PTC, let them know what you have and let them custon build you a converter. There stuff is top notch with out the jacked up prices!! My car is the proof that there stuff works!!
My 2002 Stock Bottom end, H/C/I, PTC 4400 stall, built tranny, Strange 12bolt 4.11 gear and 28"tall hoosier DR's full weight car went 10.90@123mph 1.47 60ft on the motor.

odarabla, what was your RWHP when you busted into the 10's? Very impressive!

I'm going to say 11.20-11.30 with that stall.

I say go with a bigger stall. atleast a 3600. Ive ran 11.2s with a bolt-on lt1 with 150. So i say 10.9s are do able

The car dynoed 447rwhp and 403rwtrq. I don't go by dyno #'s though it's an auto.

my quest for tens will be put off for a little while i blew my 3.73 so the 3.42's are goin back in for a little while till i rebuild the 3.73.

i also have a ptc. def does the job without breaking the bank. i doubt you get the 10sec pass with just those mods.

i know im not gettin there this year but next year the 175+ shot will be in and i will get my 10 sec slip my new goals this year are get a new pb and keep the car alive.

so ur sayin with a 175 shot tune full rear suspention 3.73gear 3000 stall and exhaust i wont hit 10's i dont see how its not possible with a great tire

i say go with a 150 shot and a bigger stall and you should be tens...that 3000 stall is a baby stall...

a bigger stall wont really affect drive ability that much or gas mileage if thats what your worried about. wot is where you feel the difference.

so i wont have to get on the gas to move from a light in the city cause my buddy had a 4k stall behind a sbc and said he had to put the rpm to about 3k before he started to move from a light and i cant do that in chicago ill get pulled over every light

no. maybe a couple hundred more is all. not really even noticeable.

maybe this comin winter when i put a new engine in and a built trans ill put in a bigger stall but dont have the funds or time for it now

well new updates on my quest for that 10.99 i should be getting my tune by straight line hopefully friday so i can show my buddy what a SI ls1 can do(he will be there with his impala thats built) and im going to be installing 4.10's in my rear

ill see how close i get the sunday after easter i will be losing some weight outta the car as well probally only gonna run the drivers seat removing the front sway bar no spare or jack and im thinkin about takin some more stuff out
