Locker vs. Wavetrac -- Need advice
Plan on ordering a MWC9 soon and need help choosing between the locker and Wavetrac. Estimate low 700s rwhp with new combo on a 200 shot. Weekend / street car with three or four track days a year. Is the Wavetrac worth $450 more than the locker? Is there any real performance difference between the two? Is the locker less driveable, even with the auto?

If i would have had more cash i would have gone with the wavetrac. the locker seems to have a decent reputation for strength. i can tell you right now i dont like the locker on the street. it sucks. im just gonna have to get used to it because of the nice price i got it for.

a trac loc isnt rated for much above a 2500 rpm launch. the locker is more. and the wavetac is LIFETIME warrenty.
i went with the wavetac. i had the money. and i want to keep my abs and traction control.
also had three friends with lockers lock up on an on-ramp. they all had to have body work done.

I am honestly thinking about coining up and going with the wavetrac over the locker. What HP rating are the wavetracs good for?
The reason everyone skips them is that they suck *****. People break them with cam only cars under a hard launch. Being a 6 speed car puts a lot of strain on them.

Another bad thread of incorrect info. Eric posted about the Trac-Loc never breaking with the billet cover. Not my info his! As for me I launch mine well over 2500 RPM but I am an auto. I think info posted in this thread on them is from people that have never used one. Part of why internet info sometimes sucks and you have to weed through it.
