Default Ls6 pcv

I am tearing down the top half of my engine within the next week and have a few questions... I assembled all the parts to perform the LS1 to LS6 PCV conversion, but I'm still confused. I was going to do this to STOP the oil from getting into the intake. But I still see people running catch cans even with an LS6 PCV setup. I thought this setup stopped this from happening. Or not completely? Someone shed some light please. (Also, I have the line from the valley cover to intake with the PCV valve in it)

Also, I DO retain the hose going from the pass. valve cover to the throttle body right? And just block off the rest. Also, what is that line for? (vc to tb I mean)

Thanks, Allen
