I am planning to do a swap of a 07-08 6.0 out of a chevy or gm truck into a 1989 fox mustang. From what I understand it will have a 58x reluctor and drive by wire throttle body. I am going to buy the complete 6.0 with all accessories, the 4l80e trans and the computer out of the same truck. Is there a way to convert this to a cable driven throttle body? Or will I have to try to find the parts to change the gas peadl on my mustang to a drive by wire?
Is a 6.0 out of a 2003 ss truck 58x or 28x? Would I have the same problem with it?

Easier to leave the 07/08 6.0 as a FBW. 03 6L would be 24X.

just use a converter box:

There is zero stock as there have been issues with them. Going through a re-design.

Where did you heard it have issue with it?? I just ordered it last week on Byunspeed, it was back order but they are suppose to receive some this week. I hope I will receive one... I need one to run my engine !

From a buddy who has shipped a lot of them. Have a lot respect for LPE and the late John Lingenfelter, so that's it.

These converters are not necessarily rocket science, but getting them to run the heat cycles and repeatably across component variations required under an OEM automotive hood is.

For example PCM/ECM memory is generally good for continuous use at 250F and 10's of thousands of hot/cold cycles and will retain memory for 20 years. Tough act to follow.

The processor in a 6L80 trans has to run in oil that GM redlines at 300F.
