Default Where to start: Traction.

Hey guys!
iv been off the site awhile enjoying my mods. Now that its winter... I am back and I have a few questions.

Like the title states I am not sure where to even start.
I got the GO mods but now I want to keep it on the ground. As you might guess with my current mods I am all over the place. Since my funds are a little limited I am looking to start with traction then work towards handling next year. Of course its always good when a traction mod also improves handling.

What do you guys recommend?

Thanks.

Torque arm, LCA's and LCARB's....of course, tires will get it to stick more than anything.

Hello
I noticed you are looking for more traction performance! Like mentioned above Lower control arm relocation brackets are the best bang for the $ and a set of LCA's to eliminate the flexible stamped and blown out rubber bushing OEM. And I wanted to leave you know that UMI Performance has the solution. Below is a link to show you what all we have to offer for better traction performance.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask!
Thanks

lower control arms and brackets really got my street car to hook up.

Would have to agree... these simple pieces and a good set of tires will go along ways.

We do offer several different lower control arms for different applications but our most basic lower control arm works for about 90% of the cars out there and are tough enough for single digit et's.

The lower control arm part # TCA001 can be found HERE

Control arm relocation brackets or "anti-squat" brackets they are sometimes called help with making the car "hook" by altering the rear suspension geometry. With the extra off the line torque from the higher stall i highly recommend them.

We offer a bolt on and weld on version which can be found HERE

Once you get these basic pieces see how the car works and go from there.

If you have any questions please ask

Thanks everyone for the tips!

I ordered LCA brackets and non-adj LCA's.

Hello
No you wont need a alignment, The only time you will need one is when you upgrade your front upper and lower A Arms. If you just replaced the rear you will be fine.
Thanks

They are in and they seem totally fine. Not a huge improvement, but there is a difference. Especially in stiffness and getting the car to hook. Car seems to ride a little better too.

Looking to do Torque arm and Sfc's next. Thanks for your help everyone.

Now i need to decide on some wheels, unfortunately nothing looks that great when your not lowered and lowering the car isnt the best idea when your building a track monster.

Great to hear! And I noticed that you are going to be looking into a set of SFC's and a Adjustable Torque Arm. I just wanted to leave you know that we offer a wide variety of suspension parts that will be sure to meet your needs. And when you purchase from UMI Performance you are not only getting a great quality product that performs. But it is also made right here at our own facility in the USA.
