Thanks guys, it's been something I've wanted to do for a while and it is finally coming together. I'll throw up a dyno video when it's all said and done.

Should make some pretty good power. I like the cam choice, should still retain some good bottom end.

Yeah, I discussed, in length, all my options with John at Thunder Racing and that's what he came up with for me. It's a new grind for him so I'll be the guinea pig, per say. I'm just learning about cams, so curious question. In your opinion, why is this a good choice?

What are your goals with the car?

No car, it's going in my truck. I want to make it a mean DD, that I can take to the track occasionally and play with. Plus, I'm not married, don't have any kids, no girlfriend so I have to have projects to keep me busy or I'll just sit and look at internet porn all the time. Do enough of that as it is, starting to get carpel tunnell and tennis elbow..... and I don't even play tennis.

Should be a stout truck then. I do think the cam choice is wimpy. But,i'm one who has driven cams close to 260dur before. Good luck to ya. Would like to know how it turns out.

Yeah, i didn't want to get too radical with a stock bottom end and shooting a 150 shot, so the cam is where I chose to be conservative. I was considering an off the shelf cam in the beginning 228/228, .588"/.588" , but the way it was explained to me is that the duration and lift combo I am getting would be more efficient than the one I was considering, for my application. The way I see it, it's all speculation until it's installed and you hit the gas for the first time then you'll really know if it's right for you. You could spend countless hours talking to all kinds of people and doing all kinds of research, but at some point you have to take a leap of faith and just do it.
