Which is better kooks or ahr headers???

Default Which is better kooks or ahr headers???

what header and y combo is better kooks of american racing? 1 3/4 or 1 7/8?

Im looking at may be 500rwhp after im done with my setup.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated

If your at stock cubes then you can do 1 3/4 but if you plan on going higher on the cubes than stock then you may want to get the 1 7/8. But either brand is great I would say which ever one is cheaper that's what I would go with.

american racing 1 7/8...even though i have 1 7/8 TSP...just couldnt beat the price...

arh design is basically the same as kooks....ive "heard" some dudes from kooks went on to start arh....but thats just what i "heard".... anyways the biggest difference betwixt the two would be the merge in the y. but they are both great merges. flip a coin or look for a deal imo....

Even if you're at stock cubes get the 1 7/8. I've seen better results over 1 3/4 with the 1 7/8 and that was stock cubes. Do a search and you should find it.

Thanks alot guys this really helps me out. im pushing towards the ahr's cause the merge looks better built and i think im going with the 1 7/8.

The two are nearly identical, but I like the collector of the AR Headers over the kooks.

i went with ARH. ive heard nothing but good things about them and the merge is awesome, headers are going in tomorrow along with ls6 intake

The ARH Y merge is way better unless Kooks has revised their design.

If you are using a y the ARH y fits better and has a better merge IMO. About two years ago Kooks redesigned their collector and added a velocity spike so they are now about identical to ARH in this area...
