Default V is at the dealer...

Winshield sprayer doesnt work, rear gears were whinning, and center console/arm rest piece was busted... plus the shifter was loose again.

They refused to replace the console. But it looks like the other 2 got approved. 2 years left on the warranty, so i figure itll probably be time for a new rearend right before its up. Just amazes me how quick they nickle and dime ya on the little things that break. Since when is the consoles FUNCTION considered 'trim'? I didnt take it in because of the leather, or because it was scratched, its ******* broken by an apparent design flaw. lol

They replaced the bushings on the shifter about a year ago and it was amazing, but its starting to get loose again... i dont think they are going to replace them again tho. Might ask if i purchased the UUC bushings if they would install them under warranty, because theres no reason why it should have that much play. And to be honest, im really liking not having to do the work on a car for once... even if it is easy. lol

Oh well, they are taking care of the rearend... Guess that just about covers the cost of the warranty.

I take it to Findlay Chevrolet, not the caddi dealer because they are ******* awsome. Every time i went to the local caddi dealer i felt like i was dealing with a bunch of retards. I might swing by for a second opinion on the console, worst they can say is no.

The trim falls under the 3yr/36,000 mile part of the factory warranty. I dont see why it would not be covered, I would suggest calling Cadillac and speaking with them as long as you are with in the guidelines.

End your aggravation with the flimsy V center console arm rest and replace with a base CTS arm rest. Sturdier and more storage space.
Center Console swap

The plastic supply tube for my windshield washers broke on my '04 right by the right rear corner of the hood where it goes under the hood insulator.
I just spliced it together with a ferrule found at a hardware store.

Use the UUC bushings and never look back. The OEM bushings are crap.

Awsome! thanks for the info on the arm rest, i was wondering about that! Thats perfect.

It was actually the entire reservoir (is what they said). Dont know if it was the pump or what, but they are replacing the entire thing.

I want to do the UUC's, but i kinda feel like i shouldnt HAVE to. Know what i mean? Once its out of warranty ill do my own work, but until then i feel like its their problem... not mine. lol.

And as far as warranty im on the GMPP (extended)

Mine's at the dealer too. I got sick of jacking wth all of the electrical problems (3 XM radio boxes in 2 months), so I traded it in. Amazingly, I really don't miss it as much as I thought I would.

What did you trade it in for?
